5 wedding trends i’m currently loving

Planning a wedding has a lot of moving parts. One of the parts being deciding which trends to jump on and incorporate in your wedding. As a wedding photographer I have seen all different types of trends come and go. In this blog I’ll be diving deeper into which trends I’m currently loving. Using trends is a great way to add unique and unexpected elements to your day. For some people they don’t want to be doing the same trend everyone else is doing, but if you love the idea and are excited about, go for it! Don’t worry about what others will think, it’s your wedding day so do what makes you happy. If you’re having a hard time deciding which trends to go with and need some help mixing things up, I’m here to help you out! Keep on reading to find wedding trends you can incorporate to make your day extra special.

Eco-friendly Weddings

Sustainability is so important and i’m happy it’s becoming a trend. There are so many ways to add eco-friendly elements and be more environmentally conscience. Couples are sending digital invites instead of paper, they are using recycled items for their decor, and even choosing a venue with decor built in to decrease the use of single use items.

Champaign Tower

Champaign towers are just so fun! They add an extra photo opportunity to your wedding day, and who doesn’t love more photos! This trend is an easy way to add an interactive and unique element to your day. Use this trend to kick off the toasts and create more memories with your guests.

Destination Elopements

Many couples are choosing to elope rather than going the traditional wedding route. Instead of spending thousands of dollars on a big party with friends and family they are opting for an intimate and private wedding. Some choose a destination they want to honeymoon at and have their wedding there!

Floral Statements

Flowers have always been a big element in the wedding industry, but as of lately it’s becoming more popular to have floral statement pieces. Some couples decide to opt out having a traditional arch and go with a floral installment instead. I think this makes the ceremony extra beautiful and brings more attention to the couple. Plus you can use the floral installment at the reception later on to elevate the decor!

Unique Arches

Lately I have seen so many different and unique arches and I am absolutely loving it! Floral installments instead of a traditional arch? Yes please! Geometric shaped arches? I’ll take it! There are SO many cool and fun arches to choose from and I love seeing all the different styles.

I hope this blog inspired you and gave you some ideas for fun trends to incorporate in your wedding day. For more inspiration check out “things you’ll regret not doing on your wedding day” by clicking here. To book me for your big day click here, I would love to capture your special day!

KIND WORDS

“Loved working with her and the photos are some of my favorites! She made my husband & I feel so comfortable even when we felt a little awkward. It was awesome to even have dinner with her and her husband after. Definitely recommend ❤️”
